~ IN DEVELOPMENT ~
Our bodies like dams - an experimental video work that offers a mythical look at New York’s dire coastal flood crisis. The project follows a surrealistic narrative of a couple embracing as their Brooklyn apartment floods entirely, using various styles of puppetry, animation and dance. A seemingly straight apocalyptic love story, it gradually unfolds into a queer, post-human fantasy, involving a woman’s surrender to water and unexpected transformation.
Very excited to be a 2022 BRB Artist in Residence & develop this piece! Screening info coming soon ~ Fall 2022 <3
